Rentbits In The Know is an online community in which members can share ideas and interact with others by asking and answering rental property related questions on many different topics from all over the U.S.. Property managers can also create profiles, link to their listings on rentbits and publish blog posts on any rental industry topic. Site visitors can also ask and answer questions, share facts, opinions, reviews and personal experiences to help others. By using In The Know, you understand and acknowledge that rentbits does not approve, control, endorse or adopt the content posted or supplied by third parties, but simply provides a service by allowing users to access information that has been made available by others. Any opinions, reviews, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties, including community members, are those of the respective author(s) or distributor(s) and not rentbits. Be Respectful Of Others

The rentbits community is comprised of many members who may have different experiences and perspectives. Disagreements and debates are acceptable, and even encouraged, so long as the discourse is kept civil and does not include personal attacks. Insults or rude comments towards others are not permitted under any circumstances. Likewise, venting, ranting, hateful discussions or attempts to damage the reputation of those inside or outside the community are inappropriate. We respect everyones right to free speech but we will not tolerate harassment in the community.

Share Great Information

Make a positive and lasting impact on the community by sharing your knowledge and opinions with others. Always post quality information and strive to post highly informative and useful content. Please answer questions with helpful and relevant information. Yes and No answers or answers that simply request that a user contact you for more information are not helpful. Rentbits encourages you to answer questions with as much detail as possible. Please pay attention to the geographic location associated with questions. Your expertise in one particular market may not translate well to another rental market. If you are a property manager, make sure you complete your rentbits property manager profile in order to share your relevant personal information and experience with the community. This will also add more credibility to the content that you share with the community.

Encourage Quality Content From Others

When you see content that is inappropriate or spam, please click on the flag icon to report the content to rentbits for violating our Community Guidelines. Rentbits will review the content and take all action that is deemed appropriate.

Use The Correct Format

The In The Know section is reserved strictly for questions and answers, and questions should always be posted in the form of a question. Property managers who wish to share their knowledge with others rather than ask questions can do so by answering questions, creating a property manager profile and blogging. Rentbits reserves the right to remove any content that has not been properly formatted for the community.

Don’t Violate Copyright

You may not post content that violates any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property or other right, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material. If you quote a source in question, answer or blog post, make sure you have the full right and authority to do so and be sure to give credit to the author and provide a link back to the full article. Rentbits does not verify the accuracy or proper attribution of content. It is the sole responsibility of the person posting a question, answer, blog post or blog comment to do so. If you believe that your work has been copied and has been posted to this site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a message to support@rentbits.com and we will review the request.

Don’t Spam

Any and all forms of spam, including but not limited to advertisements, solicitations and repeat postings, will be removed and rentbits may deactivate or block accounts that are engaged in such activities at any time.

Don’t Post Offensive Content

This includes any content, or links to content, that could in any way be construed to harm minors, incite violence or promote racist, incendiary, or otherwise objectionable content. Content that contains profane, obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit language, is also prohibited.

Don’t Violate The Law

Do not post any content that violates federal, state or local law or that violates State or local Fair Housing Laws which prohibit any discrimination in the provision of housing based upon race, color, national origin, creed, religion, physical or mental handicap, ancestry, age, marital status and familial status. Do not post false or misleading information or falsely state, impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent your identity.

Don’t Share Personal Information

Do not post anyones personal information unless you have their consent to do so. This includes address and contact information. Please be very cautious about sharing your own personal information. Rentbits is not in any way responsible or liable for any harm or damage that may result from the sharing of your personal information or the personal information of others.

Rentbits reserves the right to remove or edit any content for any reason, at any time without notice. Rentbits may for any reason and at any time deactivate any users account and restrict that users access to the site. Although rentbits has no obligation to screen, edit or monitor the content of profiles, questions, reviews, answers, comments or other materials posted in the rentbits In The Know community, rentbits reserves the right to remove, screen or edit any such content at any time and for any reason, or for no reason, without notice.
