RentMineOnline.com Leveraging Social Networks to Improve the Renting Experience

April 2, 2008 – 9:20 pm

RentMineOnline.com,  is a trust based online market place that connects asset owners and renters and facilitates rental transactions between them. They are currently integrated into Facebook, MySpace and Linkedin.

They aim to offer services that will allow renters and apartments to:

Rent from people you trust
Rent to people you trust

The site allows renters to find a place that is recommended by their friends. The hope is that this will eventually create an ecosystem and community where renters can socialize, share and communicate with each other.
RentMineOnline launched in January in Alpha and is trying to increase adoption.  Seems like they are also branching outside the US with listings in France and the UK:

  2. Wow, is it me or does it seem like there are tons of these social rental sites coming out?

I think everyone saw Jeremy sell apartmentratings.com for a lot of cash and now we are seeing all these new sites.
