Google. Fix Your Real Estate Rental Search.

Why is Google Base not picking up much traction in the real estate sector?

Because of the user experience like this.

Search for “Houses for Rent” in Google:

Houses for rent - Google search result - google base

Google says they have 645,673 houses for rent in their google base database. Click on it. Do you see any rentals? Not a very good user experience if you ask me.

  2. I’ve always felt the same thing. It’s not very smart way to search homes for rent.

  3. Those numbers do not add up. Good eye Dan.

  4. From our perspective, the Internet without pay per click support that can elevate a local product is ineffective. Local business (and that by definition means rentals) can\’t generate the high volumes of traffic, the significant inbound links, and other items needed.

As a result, services like this described above are inherently ineffective.
