rentBits Launches Free Average Rental Price Widget

April 29, 2008 – 1:46 pm

At rentBits, we aim to offer renters tools to find the perfect rental. We also take feedback to make our product better.

One request from renters and property managers was to add a tool where an average rental price could be seen for any city in the United States. With that said, we just launched a free average rental price widget that renters can use on our home page, as well as a free rental price widget property managers can add to their website and offer visitors historical rental rates for their area.

Below is what the widget looks like when applied to a website or blog:

Some common questions about the widget:

  1. Is this widget free?
    answer: Yes
  2. Where do you get this data?
answer: We crawl the web each day and find available rentals. Our database of rental properties consists of over 300,000 available rentals.
  3. Will you be adding to this widget?
answer: Yes, over time, as we collect more data the average rental rates graph will show more months. You will also see some enhancements to the widget in the near future.
