RentalHomesPlus - Only Rental Site to Experience Traffic Growth in Dec.

RentalHomesPlus, a site owned and operated by Apartments.com, was the only large rental site to see a positive increase in traffic to the site for the month of December. December is historically the worst month of the year for rental sites as people do not move during this time.

A large rental site is subjectively determined by a rental site at least having 100,000 unique visits per month according to compete.com data.

A lot of the major sites that have been around for awhile are experiencing the law of large numbers which means it is harder to continually grow numbers month over month. RentalHomePlus has been working hard and finding ways to continue to drive more traffic to their site but because of their current traffic numbers have yet to experience this law of large numbers.

These numbers are based on the Complete.com data which triangulates multiple data sources, including ISP, Panel & Toolbar to estimate U.S. traffic. Below is a breakdown of the stats for each of the top rental sites.

MyNewPlace.com= 1.1% Decrease in Traffic
ForRent.com = 7.1% Decrease in Traffic
Rent.com = 7.2% Decrease in Traffic
Apartments.com = 7.5% Decrease in Traffic
Rentals.com = 7.9% Decrease in Traffic
