35% of Renters have Seen a Scam Email or Ad

We asked them,”During your rental search, have you ever come across an ad or received an email that you suspected to be a scam?”Over 35% of the respondents said they have seen a scam ad or was contacted by a scammer.

That’s great that a less 35% of them actually could figure out that it was a scam. Hopefully they did that before they sent out money.

We just learned about a guy who didn\’t learn for two years that he\’d been the victim of a scam - he\’d been making purchase payments towards a house he found on craigslist… but the person he was paying wasn\’t the owner. It pays to educate yourself.
