Search and Post Real Estate Forms and Docs
February 21, 2008 – 5:13 amScribd.com, a start-up in Silicon Valley is making finding, uploading and viewing documents online extremely easy. They recently raised close to $5 million from Red Point Ventures and according to compete.com has over 2 million uniques per month.
Scribd makes it easy to search for real estate documents like rental applications and makes it easy to read and print using their technology called iPaper.
As the real estate content becomes more robust and their search technology becomes more precise, I think scribd will make a great tool for real estate professionals to share and upload documents for clients and colleagues.

Scribd is an excellent site. It is too bad the spammers invaded this popular spot. I know they have been working hard at correcting the problem.

Hi Upton MA Homes,
Thank you for visiting the blog and adding value to the conversation. Your comment is a great one and spurred some thoughts.
Spammers and scammers are becoming much more prevalent in these types of areas that offer free services and is managed by a self-policing model. We see this happening quite a bit with popular sites like Craigslist.
I think the self-policing model works prior to a site reaching critical mass. After a site becomes extremely popular, scammers and spammers have an economical incentive to spam or rob the users. It inevitably leads to a decrease in user experience and in some cases like craigslist, can lead to illegal activity.
