Hotpads.com to hit 1 Million Uniques?
March 3, 2008 – 5:38 pmHotpads, a rental and forsale search site, should break the 1,000,000 unique visitors per month before the end of the year. Here is a breakdown of their traffic as shown by Quantcast.com. These numbers are accurate because hotpads is a quantified publisher.
Monthly US Traffic:
- Page Views per Month = 5,246,709
- Average Page Views per Visit = 6.42
- Unique Visitors per Month = 567,567
Hotpads has received $2,000,000 in funding from Meakem Becker Venture Capital. The valuation is not confirmed but was most likely in the $7,000,000 pre-money range.
If Hotpads could monetize their pages with a $20 RPM (Revenue per Thousand Page Views) and hit 6,000,000 page views by the end of the year, total annual revenue could exceed $1.4 million next year in revenue. At a 10 times revenue sale price, hotpads could be valued at north of $14 million.
A $20 RPM may be a little aggressive but having a direct sales force could push this RPM higher. For example, local.com is at a $35 RPM.
