ForRentByOwner.com Sees 297% growth for 2007
December 31, 2007 – 3:25 pmForRentbyOwner, a rental site that launched in late 2006 has nearly tripled in visits for 2007. According to compete.com data, they had over 24,000 people visit their site in Nov and over 240,000 page views.
Dave Watts, the owner of ForRentByOwner is an active real estate investor and launched ForRentByOwner to assist those who need to rent out their properties. ForRentByOwner is a free site and is part of the Rent Marketer network of sites.
Other rental sites are also seeing an increase in rental traffic over the last year because of the downturn in the for sale housing market. 95% of all rental sites Rent Marketer posts to have seen an increase in 2007 traffic compared to 2006.
According to compete.com data, larger sites like Rent.com and ForRent.com have seen a decrease in traffic of 14.5% and 8.6% respectively.

i have had contact with two different family’s in the past month that where looking for rent to own property. I called homes that where on the market for a long time and had the listing agents call the owners to see if they would consider a rent to own. i was surprised to find that three out of 10 where OK with rent to own. A sign of the times.

yes most of the homes on my site are also for rent or for sale as on my site i also let them list it for sale on there i have debated on if i will continue to do so as i have a new site in the works just for home sales in the making but most of the homes i have on my site are belive it or not the agents own personal investment homes they bought for resale and are trying to either rent it or sale it !
